Beginners (1st Year)
During the first year with Drummers Incorporated the student will learn about the different voices of the instrument as well as the basic concepts of playing drums. Stick anatomy and grip will be explained as well the correct sitting position behind the instrument. Note reading is compulsory and the student will learn note values, where they are written, and what they mean. Seven basic rudiments (exercises that were developed to train the student to be able to manipulate a drum stick) are being taught. Rhythm drills (Courtesy of Mr. Josh Gottry) teach the student to play different intervals of rhythmical phrases in different segments of the bar. This develops vocabulary and technique. The student can learn up to 6 variations of the basic rock beat using 8th notes, and 16th notes. Time signatures covered in the first year are 4/4 and 6/8.
Upon completion of the first year, the student will have the ability to manipulate the sticks, play many different beats, and be able to use rudiments as drum fills.

Intermediate (2nd Year)
In the second year at Drummers Incorporated the student will learn how to turn the rudiments into beats and fills. We continue with the rhythm drills and rudiments which are becoming more progressive and intense in the second year. The student will learn the Rhythm Scale and how to interpret and use it. Many of the first year techniques comes into play in the second year, and students will learn different, more advanced, applications of what they already know. The student is being introduced to different musical styles (Funk, Swing, Blues) and will learn the basics of each style as well as some variations thereupon. Independence is a great advantage for any drummer and some basic independence exercises are introduced to help the student to develop each limb towards independent use.
Upon completion of the second year, the student will be able to play Rock, Funk, Swing and blues styles, be able to turn rudiments into beats and fills, and will be able to use the rhythm scale.

Amazing Basics
The amazing basics series is an elaborate look at the most basic rudiments. The aim of Drummers Incorporated is not to just teach the student to play drums, but to form mental structures and develop thinking patterns so that each student will know how to get there, instead of just simply learning 20 beats. We believe that each student should learn all the secrets and steps to get there on his/her own. This series takes the student from a basic rudiment to a world of exploration, discovering the techniques and interpretations that the masters use. Playing drums is not just hitting skins with sticks, there is a whole world of science beneath the surface and we want all drummers to have a firsthand experience of it.

Grooving in 4/4
For the drummers who want to learn the secrets about grooving, this is for you. The student will learn 17 back beat patterns, and 20 different ostinatos on top of them. The secrets to playing a fat groove lies in the ability to hear what the music is doing, finding the right frequencies and voicings, and building the right beat based on phrasing, intensity, and ability.
Upon completion of this module the student will have an incredible ability to make any beat sound fat, and use the grease to bring the band together.

Independence
Independence is a word commonly used in drumming circles. The true meaning is simply to have the ability to use every limb separately and/or independently from the other. This adds great skill to anyone who masters it and will certainly enable you to play the most complex and awesome drum parts. The independence module requires an enormous amount of self discipline and time to study. This module is not advisable to students who don’t like to practice 2 or 3 hours a day.
Upon completion of this module the student will have the ability to do almost anything with any limb, be it foot or hand.

Double Bass Drumming
The double bass pedal changed drumming forever. This module takes the student from basic development of the feet, right up to playing the most advanced licks and fills. Lately everyone who’s anyone has got a double bass pedal rigged. Double bass drumming has long lost its connection to heavy metal music, and today is commonly found in almost any line up; from Latin to Jazz to Funk.
The Double bass drumming module will be a great advantage to any drummer.
Upon completion of this module, the student will have the ability to play difficult grooves, time signatures, and insane fills in any musical style.

Patterns & Concepts
This is a module designed to encourage movement around the instrument. It is not necessarily technique that holds a drummer back. A lack of confidence and skill in move ability can often be the culprit. Each stick pattern lick, or rudiment can be used in many different ways, and this module explores many roads down the soloing trail with 54 exercises to expand your ability.
Upon completion of this module the student will have a comprehension to distinguish which patterns are good for, and even how to create those patterns for playing roof lifting solos.

Master Classes
This is for the Pro’s who find themselves stuck between 2 worlds and not breaking through. Drummers Inc has taught many professional drummers over the years and their careers are living proof of the Drummers Inc success. This module is topic specific where students tell us where they are and we try to determine why they are stuck.
